The picture on the immediate left is from a few months ago. I was a SGT in the Army National Guard.
The picture above it is my commissioning as a LT and a Chaplain.
I was enlisted in...well, lets not go back that far. I was a chaplains assistant for over 5 years. It is great pursuing my dream and calling as a Military chaplain.
The picture on the top left is a church staff picture. It's good, and there aren't too many good pics of me out there, so I'll keep using it.
The above picture of helicopters is not because I am in a aviation unit, but because it was cool.
I only have three connections to helicopters:
1) a good friend retired as a chopper pilot and now flies back and forth to oil riggers on the gulf.
2) I have jumped out a perfectly good one once.
3) My wife rode to Augusta in one for the Masters one year.
(Actually she rode in one to Augusta at the time of the Masters. She was being life-flighted to MCG for a rattlesnake bite.)
Welcome to BaptistChaplain.com
Where military and ministry meet!
My name is Marc Lhowe. I wanted
to have a website that shows the different lives that I lead.I am a Christian husband and father. I am
also a minister, a soldier, and a student.
Since I got serious about the
Lord in 1993, I have pledged to serve Him all of my days. This website is just a
simple way to express my faith in Christ, as well as my passion for life.
At times my life has been so full, I diidn't know
whether I was coming or going. One day, when I met myself coming home as I was leaving,
I knew I was doing too much. (Don't worry if you didn't get that, just go back
to sleep.) Seriously, when I evaluate my life, I would have it no other way. Polycarp, one of thefirst martyrs for
Christ, was asked to recant Christ. At the stake they asked him once more, with torches in hand. Polycarp said, “86 years have I have served him, and he has
done me no wrong. How can I blaspheme my King and my Savior?” One day I hope to say I have served Christ just as well.
